Tyler and I finally put together a vlog from our trip to the French Riviera and Lake Como last, last fall.
I’m actually really excited to post this now, though, because it just feels like we are right around the corner for the world opening up again. (I mean. We are, right?) Either way, I am proceeding as such and have been scheming big time for our next potential trip.
It feels festive and hopeful to share this video because I think we all deserve a trip this summer/fall.
To give a brief overview of this trip: we went to the French Riviera and Lake Como in September of 2019 when Charlotte was 10 months old. She was at the perfect age, and this turned out to be the perfect trip, honestly.
We spent five days in the South of France and stayed in the charming town of Antibes. We explored Nice, Villefranche-Sur-Mer, and Cap-Ferrat. We spent every morning strolling Old Town, eating fresh food, and watching Char discover baguettes (this became the theme of the trip).
Then, we drove up to Lake Como in Italy and stayed in a gorgeous old castle in a tiny town called Torno. We spent each day ferrying around the lake, drinking bellinis, and eating pizza from the same spot every single night on our patio.
I’m going to link all of the blog posts from this trip because I go way more in-depth on each area. Also linking my master list of tips for traveling with a baby.
A not surprising but very necessary disclaimer: we aren’t amazing with video, lol. Our camera is supposed to be really awesome for video, though, so we decided to try to take a bunch of clips on that trip. We finally buckled down and put all the footage together last week. But fair warning, it’s very (VERY) amateur level.
