Sephora Sale Picks: Spring 2022

Sephora Sale Picks: Spring 2022

Somehow, we’ve found ourselves in the midst of another Sephora sale!

The Spring Beauty Insider event is one of two big sales that they do each year. It’s a fabulous time to stock up/try a new product or two.

You know the drill by now? 20% off for Rouge, 15% off for VIB, and 10% for Beauty Insiders (sign up with an email for free if you haven’t yet!).

I, for one, have been maniacally mapping out my cart for weeks.

For today’s post, I thought I’d share some newer (to me) products that I’ve recently fallen in love with.

For more of a “holy grail” post, check out my picks from the fall sale

Dr Dennis Retinol + Peel Pads Set

Okay this set is such a great deal–I bet it will sell out FAST.

Since weaning Emmie this past fall, I’ve started folding some retinol products back into my nightly rotation. Consider retinol products, or vitamin A, the “big guns” of at-home skincare. Retinol helps boost collagen production which helps fight fine lines. It also helps stimulate blood vessel production which keeps skin plump and youthful. Retinol can also help with breakouts. It’s important to start off slowly, but my usually-sensitive skin has always done fine as long as I pace myself.

I have been using this Advanced Retinol + Ferulic Texture Renewal Serum from Dr. Dennis for about 6 weeks, and I’ve been really impressed with it. I have found the formula gentle but effective, and I like the extra boost of ferulic acid in it too. I use this 3-4 times per week after cleansing, before moisturizer/oils.

This set, which costs the exact same as the retinol serum of the same size on its own (!!!), also comes with 14 peel pads. I am a long-time user of Dr. Dennis Gross’ peel pads. These two-step peels are such a quick and easy way to treat your skin. I haven’t yet started getting facials, so I use these for my weekly “spa nights” at home (don’t hate the player).

Tata Harper Glow Facial Set

Now this is a real “treat yourself” moment. This set is another amazing deal on two of my favorite LUX skincare products. The resurfacing mask from Tata Harper is incredible–this is one you’ll use before events, weddings, etc. And the exfoliating cleanser is a very gentle scrub that I like to use a few times a week in the shower. It leaves me feeling clean and fresh without the burn that some rough exfoliators leave. This set would make a fabulous gift, btw!

Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter

I’ve seen people rave and rave about this product but didn’t really understand what it was–a primer? Highlighter? Foundation? Turns out, it’s kind of a wonder product that does it all. I’m obsessed. I’ve used it all three ways so far: by itself, over my SPF for just a little glowy boost, as a primer underneath my foundation, and as a highlighter, along the top of my cheeks, etc.

Here’s why I like it: it’s glowy but NOT sparkly. I’ve found that when highlighters are too sparkly, they catch in my crows’ feet and actually accentuate my fine lines–does anyone know what I mean? This product lives up to the hype: it casts just the most subtle illumination, blurs my pores, and just adds the tiniest bit of “dew.”

I tried this in the mini size but will definitely be repurchasing the full once I run out.

Dior Addict Lip Maximizer Plumping Gloss

I mentioned this in a recent blog post, but this is just the best gloss. It’s “plumping,” meaning that the hyaluronic acid in it helps fill in the little lines on your lips and gives them a subtle, youthful boost. The perfect date night gloss, in my opinion! I love the beige color–it’s basically clear but has just a neutral little tint to it.

Makeup Forever Lip Liner in Wherever Walnut

This lip liner in “Wherever Walnut” from Makeup Forever reminds me a lot of Charlotte Tilbury’s “Pillow Talk” that I also love. This shade, however, is just a bit less pink, making it a super neutral color that matches my lip color almost exactly. I absolutely love this under the Dior gloss.

Hourglass Unlocked Instant Extensions Mascara

You knew this would make an appearance, right? This is my new favorite mascara. I’ll admit, the “tubing” formula can be polarizing, but I LOVE it. I wrote an entire blog post comparing this mascara to the Thrive version, but in short: I like this one better. It’s volumizing, lengthening, and BUILDABLE which, to me, is non-negotiable.

A few products on my “to-try” list:

Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado: Have heard amazing things about this eye cream–will probably start with the mini size?

Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin Foundation: My sister’s new favorite foundation. Cannot wait to try.

Clarins V Facial Intensive Depuffing Mask: Have you ever seen a more “me” product?
